Sunseeker Thailand breaks the Mould

Dwarfing those who witnessed her first tentative steps, the 40 meter hull is suspended against a dark wintery sky as she is broken free of the mould on the south coast of England, home of the famous Sunseeker Ship Yard. Sunseeker by name, Sun Seeker by nature, the newborns first breath of air was a cold spring day in Poole, a far cry from the warm Tropical paradise she will be cruising by Christmas.

“With the months of planning, technical development and interior design now behind us the project has suddenly jumped from schematics and drawings, from models and artists impressions to something that is real. Seeing her lift from the mould was very satisfying.” stated Craig Murphy MD of Max Marine Asia, exclusive dealer for Sunseeker in Thailand.

The success of Sunseeker lies in the quality and craftsmanship of their boats built by a long serving and skilled work force that is extremely proud of the brand they helped create. Many craftsmen braved the freezing weather, as any expectant father would do, to see the birth of their latest creation.

Once settled into her cradle within the newly built facilities designed exclusively for the new range of Super Yachts, her construction will start in earnest. The huge MTU engines and ancillary equipment will be fitted, then her life’s blood, the kilometres of wiring and cables extending up towards her sophisticated brain housed in the futuristic Bridge. The superstructure, fittings and furnishing will come next, slowly developing her looks as she grows into the beautiful lady we have all come to expect from the legendary family of Sunseeker.

Iain Davie, Sales and Service Manager comments "To have the 40 meter in Phuket just goes to prove that Thailand, and Asia in general, is now a leading force in pleasure boating and a major destination for safe and economic  yacht ownership"
